I had a friend tell me once that we would be better off without knowledge. I will admit this angered me, my initial reaction was speechlessness. Then my response was of course to attempt to reason with them. Then it hit me, you cannot use logic against a person who does not see things from a logical point of view. That is the same as trying to teach a blind person to draw or a deaf person to dance. You can not share knowledge with a person who does not seek it or does not value it.
That however caused me examine people around me and even the things I saw on television. And it made me think, this one person is not an anomaly; we as a country have lost touch with intellect, logic and reason. Instead we have reverted back to archaic ways of our ancestors and clinging to mysticism and spirituality, instead of utilizing modern thinking mechanisms simple reasoning, logic and common sense. It actually amazes me that people trust charlatans and swindlers who are only out to manipulate you out of your money.

A Sheep in Wolve's clothes...
I sometimes find myself people watching. I like to watch my friends, my family and I especially love to watch strangers. Over the years I have noticed a pattern that has begun to annoy me, it seems to me that our values have changed. It is becoming less popular to be intellectual, and almost trendy to be ignorant or uninformed. More and more people are becoming lazy and naive about the information being feed to them. We have numerous avenues to broaden our understanding of the world we live in today, but instead of using those resources for the purpose they were intended for, we're too busy twittering and pandering to our friends about or lives on social networking sites. All of these distractions are the reason we are stuck in the rut we are in today. I get so tired of hearing people complain about how the government doesn't care about them, or how white people don't care about them... But why would they??? People who really care and what there voices heard make people listen... But we are too busy arguing over who's the better rapper Gucci Mane or Young Jeezy, instead of trying to figure out why all the jobs are leaving the country and why all our tax money is going in the pockets of the wealthy... I feel like this you all be sheep, remaining docile and following the herd...
